Still, you would have obtained a very general idea of the neighbourhood. Personally, if I had the money to buy a flat in Karl Marx Allee, I'd buy one somewhere else where I would be allowed to change my old, draughty windows, if necessary. And if my address read 'Hauptstraße' instead of 'Karl Marx Allee' that would be okay too.
